The other day I was pondering the final confrontation with Jack and the horrible clusterfuck that will presumably break out, and I couldn’t help but also consider this session’s AR… and, well, the image refused to leave my head until I drew it. is this sadstuck i don’t know but i have myself a lot of feelings from drawing it

Reflections of Queens - A Ladystuck Contribution

Since Ladystuck contributions are no longer anonymous, I can go ahead and post this around for everyone to enjoy: an 8-page comic done by yours truly for alliterate, featuring PM and WQ.

I don’t really have anything to say except that it has been a HUGE treat to be a part of this year’s Ladystuck. If you haven’t yet, browse the collection—there’s so much great stuff up there, and more being added to the “treats” collection!

Putting my characters in ugly sweaters is a guilty pleasure I didn’t even know I had.

Adding a bit of “challenge” to this challenge, I decided to use this as an excuse to learn Painter. Still struggling with the program, but I did learn a few things I couldn’t from just making random brush strokes and doodles.

I have a side project that I think I should just give up and make into an actual web comic or something because it is EATING MY HEAD and I can’t stop wanting to work on it. It’s a collection of stories within a setting I’ve been developing for years and I think I finally reached critical creative mass. Still, taking a break from actually drawing comics for some extremely self-indulgent character art is good. There are a lot of characters in this saga, but here are two of them: Priest-Captain Anabele Tessier and the god of Faith, who is actually an annoying little shit of a god. Or that much is Ana’s opinion, anyway.
